Matt Jeneroux needs to resign and face voters as a Liberal - LetVotersDecide.ca
After telling constituents floor-crossing rumours were “entirely false,” Jeneroux joined the Liberals. Sign the petition demanding he seek a new mandate from the people of Edmonton Riverbend.
Matt Jeneroux told a constituent in writing that rumours he planned to cross the floor were “entirely false.” He said he remained fully committed to serving as a Conservative Member of Parliament.
Days later, Jeneroux joined the Liberals.
The Counter Signal has obtained the email exchange showing exactly what was said. Voters in Edmonton Riverbend elected a Conservative, not someone helping Prime Minister Mark Carney strengthen his position in the House of Commons.
Floor crossing may be legal. But voters were never asked.
That is why we launched LetVotersDecide.ca, a petition calling on Jeneroux to resign his seat and seek a new mandate under his new political affiliation.
We are also taking this campaign directly to the streets. A billboard truck will travel throughout Edmonton Riverbend to ensure residents know exactly what happened.
Constituents deserve transparency. They deserve the full story. And they deserve the opportunity to come together, rally, and make their voices heard.
If Jeneroux stands by his decision, he should have no hesitation in letting voters decide.
Visit Letvotersdecide.ca to read the petition and add your name. If you believe voters deserve a say in who represents them, sign the petition and share it so more residents of Edmonton Riverbend can make their voices heard.
