A national survey found that a majority of Canadians think the threat of Alberta separating from Canada should be taken seriously, with this sentiment strongest within Alberta itself.
Quebec doesn't have the money to separate from Canada unless they want to have higher taxes and lower income per household. Alberta does have the money and their income per household would go up. I've lived in Alberta; they are a very independent people with their own way of thinking. Very different from the east. I have no problem believing that they will separate and be a successful country.
We have had many decades of hearing Quebec whine about independence, and have identified it as a cheap manipulation ploy that allows the tail to continue to wag the dog. Alberta’s situation is VERY DIFFERENT.
Put it down to his home province or his obsession with workers in general, or both, but I can still remember opinions expressed by Ed Broadbent during the 1980 election campaign. In Eastern Canada Broadbent did not hesitate to say that Ontario industry needed cheap Alberta oil to thrive. When Broabent visited the Prairies he somehow developed bad cases of amnesia and dysphasia.
If Alberta stops equalization payments the east will have to work for there money. There will be no more freebies for them. So if that happens they will have to vote for a government that will work for all of us not the east!
CBC is about 2 weeks out from labeling anyone who isn't 100% on narrative as anti-canadian, pro-trump, selfish, separatists. I'm waiting to hear how our media in Canada is going to blame the current state of the country on those who dare raise thier voice.
Yes I do! That's a good reason not to like polls. They tend to twist the truth and influence people who can't think for themselves, and don't recognize truth.

With the rigged election the corrupt liberals I am all for separation within an economic union between the separate provinces and / or with the US

Juno is on a poll kick. It's not news, it's a cheap filler.
Don’t like the truth?
