An Ontario grandmother’s MAiD death is under investigation after her family alleged the 83-year-old tried to back out but still was given a lethal injection without clearly consenting.
Right. Carney hasn't come out to give MAID limitations. I wouldn't doubt that he is happy to execute Seniors as a CPP, OAS saving for him and Brookfield.
Don't expect much as the police really don't work for the public and haven't for a long time . This will be normal soon at least for people who have no one to advocate for them and as you see even then they don't care .

Notwithstanding that he was passing peacefully and it was obvious he would be gone, in a matter of hours, the doctors kept trying to pressure us into letting them murder my dad. (The injection, BTW, is NOT a peaceful way to go.) I was left wondering, if they get a kickback or if they're just psychopaths, who get a thrill, from playing God.
Maid is a slippery slope and is already the subject of more than a few abuses of the process. What I don't like is when the doctors and Maid people present this as a treatment option. It is not a treatment, it is a termination...period. Of course the government is in favour the termination of healthcare expenses, CPP, OAS, civil service pensions, tax grabs by digging their meat hooks into peoples estates and nest eggs. They just haven't come up with a way to normalize it, maybe lessen the current lawful steps or completely ignore them all together.
As a disabled senior in Canada it’s terrifying that they can decide it’s time for me to die and I’ll be helpless to stop them. They are murderers and we’re told not to worry 🙄

There is something not right in this story!! I have experienced the MAID program with a loved one and the MAID people did everything by the book and right to the end said my husband could back out! So I am not buying this story….is there a lawsuit, where money is involved coming???
No disrespect meant..... why didn't the granddaughter make a fuss and call the police right then before the event? Any doctor who deems a patient competent to accept this type of procedure needs to be clear on 'informed consent'....not just a nod of the head. This disgusts me. Last week I heard of a patient who received MAID in the garage of the building where he was living, with other tenants as his support. What have we made out of our culture????? Good thing God has the last Word!

Why not just use a pillow while their sleeping? It's a lot cheaper and at least then it can be called what it is; MURDER!
Seems to be no oversight. And in this case, also no dury of care, no 'first do no harm' protocol, just an end goal of murder by the state.
