As an immigrant, I completely agree that multiculturalism is a bad idea!! Newcomers should assimilate to Canadian values and culture. Otherwise, why are you coming here? Canadian culture and values have taken a backseat to immigrants' cultures and values. That is wrong!!!

Wow, I have had my issues with Quebec and their view of being a conquered people and not integrating with the rest of Canada but Roberge talks a lot of sense. Canada and the other province should adopt similar policies as multiculturalism is a failed initiative. Integration over tribalism.

A country void of ''communities'' who bring their wars and backward social customs with them is my kind of country.

Alberta needs to do the same. Only with the English language. That could be part of our new constitution.

Multiculturalism is a failed experiment, just take a look at Europe to see how well it works...it doesn't. When in Rome do as the Romans do used to be the mantra, we should return to it and if you don't like it then fuck off back to where you came from. No mosques or temples, you want to worship your religion and speak your own language then either do it in the confines of your own home. So tired of immigrants who don't share our values getting preferred treatment and protections.

I wonder how many readers know the name of the only federal party that will repeal the Multiculturalism Act?
