Too little too late! I think it is long past time for academic posturing. The alternative options have already been exhausted, and now is the time for action.

Reasonable discussion and debate are essential to society. Even if Alberta were to separate ,if a forum for such discussions is rejected outright you should question what kind of separate state Alberta would end up being. There are clearly arguments for both sides and people should be as informed as possible before casting a vote either way. I think it sounds like a good opportunity for everyone involved.
What Manning and Campbell are attempting to do is to fill the minds of Albertans with so many confusing thoughts that in the end the majority will accept the status quo. Business as usual. Under Provincial legislations, the people are not free, and under Federal legislations the people are not free. It is time for the people to separate from both the Provincial and Federal Crown Corporations, of and for the City of London. The Provinces and territories are meerly lines that the crown corporation drew on a map for no other purpose than citizen containment, power, and control.
Those who are born upon this land are indigenous; we are not colonist's of the foreign British Empire - the Crown of England - King Charles III.
It would be nice if these ten questions were asked of all the western provinces ... I , however , think that Alberta should become its own sovereign entity and I dont want anything to interfere with that ... Yes , we dont even have free speech protected by law ... The federal government has stabbed Canadians in the back too many times now... I know they want to continue to own us but I think the provinces all need to be sovereign if they want to care about being able to speak freely

Exactly Saskatchewan at one point had a higher percentage of support for secession than Alberta does at present! We have a provincial party and a registered Federal party that are both more favourable to a referendum or secession! Buffalos Baby!

Canada should adopt a constitution very similar to that of the United States of America for better protection of Canadians.

There are many things that could stand in the way of Western provinces gaining more autonomy.

One way of avoiding many of those problems would be to create something NEW, for instance a 4TH LEVEL OF GOVERNMENT.
