My stance on this, our laws need to change.

Anyone not a Canadian citizen who is convicted of a crime in Canada should be deported immediately. Not when they get out of prison, but before they enter prison in Canada. Why should Canadian taxpayers pay for their defence, their incarceration, their parole officers, their appeals, etc? Let their own country pay those costs! None of this should be coming out of our pockets.

Agree wholeheartedly!

Jail time is the only deterrent for other wanna be criminals.

How much money has this thing already cost Canadian taxpayers? How many kids will he make before he is kicked back to India? Pure evil vermin!

Great work in such a short time!!! Tired of our country being taken advantage of. Bleeding hearts cry out, “what about his family if he gets sent back to India?” No problem! Like Tom Homan said when asked the same question; “The family can be deported with him.”

The law is very clear about getting deported, and there can be no exceptions. He decided to blast through that stop sign, and with that decision comes consequences. Because of this decision, 16 young people lost their lives with another 13 seriously injured. The accident happened on April 6, 2018, and on March 22, 2019, Sidhu pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and did not argue for a plea bargain, which was good advice given to him. It was good advice because the crown was not compelled to present the evidence gathered at the scene of the accident. He took 5 hours off 2 hours before the accident. He had 51 violations of Federal regulations and 19 Provincial violations.

There are several questions I need clarification on to set the record straight. (1) How many times did Sidhu travel down that road before the accident? (2) How many times has Sidhu blasted through that stop sign without stopping before the accident? (3) He has 70 recorded offences on his record. Do you for one moment think this was an accident caused by not paying attention? (4) He took 5 hours off 2 hours before the accident. Was he speeding to make up for lost time to get back on schedule?

Sidhu spent less than 4 years incarcerated. In January 2023 was granted full parole after 6 months of day parole. Now he is requesting, on humanitarian grounds, to be allowed to stay in Canada. The mainstream media and the left are making us the bad guys for wanting him deported without any consideration given for the 16 lost lives and for the suffering that the parents must endure for the rest of their lives.

Unreal! Pay the price for his arrogance and go quietly, taking his family with him.

Sorry dei can'tada, but this guy and all of his kind are not welcome in our country. Short cuts are great as long as you're not killing our children! Go home!

I agree with y’all on other things. But on this one, I totally disagree! hWhat happened to the Broncos was a tragic accident. Still, it was avoidable. Sidhu failed to stop at a stop sign and the bus collided with the truck. Sidhu is not a cold-hearted murderer. But he was not as careful as he should have been. He should face consequences for his carelessness.

… And he did. He spent 4 years in prison. Was that enough? How many of y’all have failed to stop at a stop sign at least once? A lot of us have made the same mistake, without the same consequences. Sidhu failed to stop at a stop sign and killed 16 people and injured 13 more. He didn’t want that. Nobody does. He will have to live with the guilt of that, for the rest of his life. And he spent four years in prison and has a 10-year driving ban. He is not a danger to society and I think he learned his lesson. I think he has learned his lesson on the day of the crash. And it was drilled in to him through the court proceedings and four years of prison. I think he is rehabilitated.

But perhaps y’all disagree. Fine. Perhaps y’all think he wasn’t punished enough. Perhaps he should have spent more time in prison. Fine. But if he was born in Canada, y’all couldn’t deport him. Deporting him is an extra punishment for not being born in Canada, not for the crash. A Canadian hwho made the SAME mistake would not face deportation. We shouldn’t punish people for the “crime” of not being born in Canada.

Steamroller: He had 51 violations of Federal regulations and 19 Provincial violations - 70 tickets. Why he even had a license is amazing, but clearly he has no respect for the rule of law. Think this guy is going to assimilate into our society - not a chance. Good bye

@The Steamroller

The laws are clear. He is NOT a citizen. He gets deported. India is not a third world country. He is safe there. The have great health care, amazing doctors. He needs to go home just like any other non-citizen who commits a crime. He has lost the right to be Canadian. Period.

Support this deportation 100%.

Well done Keean, it's people like you that give us hope that the right thing is done 👍

He needs to be deported along with any others who cause these kind of accidents!

Thanks for being a voice for thousands of Canadians Keean. When the country has a PM who openly supports the immigrants and illegals that break our laws, that cause untold misery and suffering for actual Canadians…..it becomes impossible to be heard, to see any kind of justice served!
