Then cut off any of their bursary's or whatever you call them, all funds from us taxpayers and fine them like the rest of us would be.

Any group receiving taxpayer money should be accountable and report how it is/has been spent. It should be a sine qua non condition to receiving said money.

Why they are just operating the same way as the lieberal mob is. So that should be okay.

The rest of us are sick of the constant whining, guilt trips, and ransom demands of First Nations, not just in Alberta, but across Canada. It's time to abolish Indian Affairs, Reserve system and the gravy train, which only results in money for nothing.

Also time to demand that all "separate" nations within Canada, both domestic and foreign be prepared to assimilate into society and large, respect our values and laws, or be prepared to face the consequences or leave. When they are responsible for their own welfare, only then will we see change.

Good luck. No Federal government has had the guts to cut down on waste and idiocy.

We haven't been at this particular crucial point before. The present government is rudderless, and we natives are getting restless. We can no longer afford or sustain the tsunami of immigration, bloated government or social programs of the last 10 years. I think, I hope, the rubber has finally hit the road. Time to wake up.

The rubber hit the road a long time ago. Unfortunately, the Liberals and those that support them are living in a dreamland fantasy where the west continues to fund them endlessly.

Remember that Trudeau gave $Millions plus power to the Wet'suwet'en First Nation hereditary chiefs who oppose a natural gas pipeline in their traditional territory in the province of British Columbia. He gave the indigenous chiefs the cash. Not the tribes. Not the real chiefs.

Albertans - get informed about the vote to leave confederation. Alberta Prosperity Project. A referendum on separation from ze penetrated WEF led cabinet in Ottawa is long overdue. Time to go and set our own pathway...one without Ottawa, Quebec or Onterrible.

It is not the Liberals money to give away. It is the Canadian taxpayers money. I am so tired of reading how the liberal government think they should give our hard earned tax dollars where they feel fit. There should be a vote, not just for the billions given to the ungrateful indigenous who feel they are entitled to it but also the billions they give to the Ukraine. It is time for the backbone of the country to have a say in how things are done. People voted for mark believing his lies. This too needs to be corrected.

Harper did the tribes and the taxpayer a favour by demanding to know where the money was going. Trudeau was and Carney is the corrupt chiefs and councils best friend.

I believe it was Trudeau that repealed the law Conservatives passed requiring fn to submit accounting reports re the government funds received by their bands. Ugh!

It must be great to be given money and not be accountable for it whatsoever.

Anyone with a brain knows there’s no such thing as “government money”, the government creates nothing, they only take. It should always be stated as “taxpayers money “, because that’s what it is! Unfortunately, they throw it around with no regard or respect for the hardworking taxpayers, who will relatively see no benefit from it, because it’s going to government salaries, thousands of bureaucrats, ideological pet projects, etc.

Here we are 8 years later and the federal liberals are still stonewalling, it all goes back to the worst prime minister in our history setting up his world agenda according to his far left woke ideas.

Now the new guy is not proving to be any better at this point in time!

Of course the Liberals do not want to force tax-paid indigenous bands to be transparent in financial affairs. If the native bands are expected to be transparent, the next thing you know tax-payers would expect the Liberals to be transparent. We couldn't have that, now could we?
