An immigration lawyer is calling out the Liberals for failing to clarify whether citizenship claims under Bill C-3 can extend to pre-Confederation ancestry, as the immigration department backpedals.
The last paragraph says it all, its not just this minister but the leadership from the PM downward. And what about the rest of this party in Parliament, does any of them have any self respect or fortitude to say or do something. Over the past year following closely the performance of this government, I have come to 2 conclusions. One, they do not care anything about this Country and as long they are in power they get a nice wage (1/4 million per annum plus expenses - the highest the democratic world) and a juicy pension after 6 years. The other, pardon the vulgarity, none of them can find their backsides with both hands. Probably a good "dash" of both. My children and grand children and yours have very little to look forward to in the future.

I know at least two dozen Unitedstatesians that escaped from the United Snakes and set about acquiring Canadian citizenship as the first step in the process of divesting themselves of Snakesian citizenship. It took some of them two decades and tons of paperwork before they could finally flush it, but they persisted and held celebratory parties when they had finally succeeded in dumping it, which is how I got to know them.
My grandfather was an American citizen. I wonder if they would give me citizenship using the same convoluted rationale as the Canadian government does. I doubt it, the Americans are not that stupid.
