Danielle Smith invites Joe Rogan to Calgary Stampede following Poilievre podcast appearance
Smith praised Rogan for his recent comments about Alberta in an interview with Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has publicly asked U.S. podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan to visit the province this summer and attend the world-famous Calgary Stampede.
On Thursday night, Premier Smith posted the invitation on X. She praised Rogan for his recent comments in an interview with Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre while talking about Alberta and its people.

“Joe Rogan is 100% correct: Alberta is a truly amazing place with some incredibly hardworking people!” said Smith.
Smith’s invite comes right after Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience. Poilievre is the first Canadian federal leader to be on the globally-renowned show.
In his own social media post, Poilievre said he “fought for Canadian workers and Canadian interests on the world’s biggest podcast.” He also repeated his support for trading goods between Canada and the United States without tariffs.
This interview has ruffled feathers in the Canadian legacy media. Poilievre is reaching out to Rogan’s huge audience, which has tens of millions of listeners per episode. As of Friday, Poilievre’s appearance has been watched over 1.5 million times.
Poilievre joined the show while he visited Texas and met with Governor Greg Abbott to push for stronger business ties, especially in energy and manufacturing.
The Calgary Stampede happens every July and brings in over a million visitors. If Rogan, whose podcast often discusses politics, culture, and business, were to visit, it would likely bring even more global attention to the event.
