How is trucking supervision going? Does alberta still have poorly trained or illegally permited trucks with Indian drivers running through stop signs and killing hockey teams?

P.S. the alberta "cell phone abuse" ads are weird!

It hasn't gone down at all.......people have just stopped reporting it because they believe nothing will be done by the police and even if they do, the courts just let them all go free so they just don't bother. You never know, you might even get arrested for just reporting it or god forbid, you try to defend yourself......so why would anyone report crimes........cops these days are just there to issue traffic tickets to pump up the revenue for the government!

"Crime severity" sounds alot like "Technical resession"..?

A propaganda piece from the creators of the decline in crime... REALLY? I quote the article... "The Crime Severity Index (CSI), which measures both the volume and seriousness of police-reported offences, dropped 10.4 per cent across 149 Alberta RCMP jurisdictions compared with 2024."

I guess re-writing the stats is fair game when you want TO APPEAR TO BE MAKING PROGRESS.

Our son WAS MURDERED IN EDMONTON by a government supplied drug addict, robbed, and left for dead. The addict admitted to causing the death of our son, was video'd saying it, AND YET THE POLICE DECLINED TO INTERVIEW SAID MURDERER. We even gave the police the name of the murderer, and her phone number.

CRICKETS.

Dr. William Makis has been tormented, delicensed, and has had to flee the country to maintain his sanity and ability to work, after being targeted by the Alberta 'HELLTH CARE SYSTEM', their private police force, (Edmonton Police) and tax payer funded lawyers, all of whom defend the pedophiles in the system, reported by Makis.

Is crime dropping? I doubt it very much. Is government propaganda being paid for by tax payers to hide the truth, in a united war against "misinformation", aka anything that does not support the government's lying narrative.

Extra funding to the RCMP in ominous, considering Carney's fixation on disarming all Canadians prior to the forced imposition of Digital I.D. and Central Banking Digital Currency... Say something out of line and ... OOPS, your money no longer exists.

Just ask the truckers in the freedom convoy. Don't bother asking those "truckers" who recently got their license to kill Canadians from a box of Cheerios.

"Sunny skies" Trudeau said... being parroted by the R.C.M.P. All I see are chem trails, followed by erratic lightning storms, and then arson forest fires.

Perhaps the R.C.M.P. report should be investigated further.

“Police-reported crime severity in Alberta RCMP jurisdictions fell to its lowest level in more than a decade in 2025, according to a new Statistics Canada report”.

Not quite what truthful reliable sources report! Try reading a few of investigative journalist, Sam Cooper’s, honest, factual reports!!

Stats Canada only reports info that Carney likes…..that don’t contradict his all freedoms removing legislations!!

The decline comes from people not reporting crimes to the police half as much anymore because the police do nothing about things, they serve no purpose for crimes. People have lost faith and hope in the police here so they just don’t call them anymore. That’s the only reason there is a decline in reported crimes. There’s no sense in reporting anything nothing bc will be done.

I’m sure Danielle Smiths comment about expecting to be shot made a difference, because the crooks don’t know who is armed as the confiscation has stalled.

Difference or not it was a great comment.

That only measures what the RCMP want to report. Given the talk about having our own police, do you really think they would report anything negative???

Sounds more like the rcmp just changed the definition of severe. "Nothing to see here, folks. Move along and try to forget what you just witnessed!"

The RCMP clearance rates are not incuded in this article. Respectfully that is how you measure success; through clearance rates. They're no longer public if they still exist.

Must be all that photo radar working overtime. On the other hand the lack of photo radar makes a lot fewer people crazy and doing stupid stuff.
