Prime Minister Mark Carney, “deactivated” a revolver gifted to him by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Edroğan as Liberal gun laws and federal ethics rules mean the Prime Minister can’t accept the gift.
I think this is pretty funny. All of the NATO "leaders," except Trump, seem to be apoplectic about receiving a pistol (WITH bullets!) as a gift. They're treating these beautiful engraved guns -- which, while operative, were no doubt intended as display specimins -- like they're radioactive. These "leaders" are not living in the real world. I'm still dumbfounded at the fact that so many (most?) Canadians cannot see what Carney is doing to them. And it will almost certainly be too late for them, and for Canada, by the time a majority of them wake up.
The news is an exercise in taking a "nothing-burger" and turning it into an issue of major concern. The only person you'd ever give a gun of this nature to, would be a gun enthusiast, for which Carney is not. Carney was gifted a gun and I couldn't care less. Let's look at the real problem. Unlike Carney, Canadians are not protected 24/7 by men with guns, and by the way the liberal party has allowed criminals to invade this country in mass, gun ownership has now become essential for self-defence, for survival, more so now than ever before. Today, the criminals in this country outnumber our law enforcement personnel; the victim is arrested - the criminal is set free; this is how the authorities are preventing themselves from being shot dead from the criminals they have let into this country.
..so it's up to the victims..or family/ friends to provide whatever protection the situation calls for..and in our multi-tiered "justice" system.. along with thousands of illegals set up in hotels/ empty buildings, etc. just waiting to be called upon for Gun Collection this Fall..(or sooner ?) things will get UGLY..( and that is, what The UN Agenda 21 "Population Control" is all about. ( HAPPY HUNTING,,🎯 )
Canada has too many social free for all programs. 20% of Canadian taxpayers are already paying more than 50% tax all in. We are going to end up with state welfare capitalism. Big government with too many public sector workers, along with unions, and immigrants who vote Liberal.

This is simply a restricted firearm and you must have an RPAL to own it so it isn't illegal in Canada; he can't own it because he doesn't have an RPAL (Restricted Possession and Acquisition Licence). So if he gets it the RCMP to permanently deactivate it then I guess he can own it. These rules are so insane but of course the insanity is derived from those who wrote the rules in the first place. None of this went through parliament either.
