Any teacher who thinks it is okay to have sexually explicit materials anywhere within the school, library or elsewhere, should be evaluated as to their credibility to teach. This has gone on for far too long. Leave the parenting to parents and get back to scholastics.

Just goes to show you what low level of people are sitting in Edmonton school board. Their minds must be continually in the gutter. It's no wonder the graduates of today are so useless. They haven't been taught anything of necessity in life, like responsibility for one. The ones who do have a good education picked it up from decent parents, I'm sure.

The education system has been hijacked by the LGBTQ activist, pervs and woke enablers. I would never have my kids in public school, it’s complete and utter trash.

The people promoting this type of literature , which is nothing short of pornography , should be ashamed of themselves, our children should never be exposed to this disgusting stuff, school should be focused on the basics of learning as it was when we were schooled years ago. The woke crowd has taken over and need to be stopped and not later but now!

It's unbelievable that Canadians allow this obviously evil agenda on the children... I don't understand why there are not more people standing , or at least speaking , against this garbage

I can’t wait to see the list of books that are going to be pulled because of sexually explicit pictures. Should fit on a post it note. Danielle will do anything to rile people up so we are distracted from things that matter - like the fact she is stealing for people with disabilities.

Don’t criticize the way people implement if it is bad policy. Even her clarification. Define classic - is it books that are a certain age? A certain critical review? Good policy should not be open to as wide of interpretation as the first policy was. Ideology aside the UCP are just bad at governing.

And WTF are they getting so far out of their lane as to step on the toes of elected school boards?

People with common sense and decency know exactly what this legislation means. (BTW, elected school boards do not necessarily have collective common sense, as we see so many times, even in Alberta.)

I agree with the common sense statement. For proof just look at the UCP.
