Short and sweet, as it should be. No reference to negotations or whatever.

History lesson.

The Act of Westminster 1931 had the net effect of turning ALL province’s & territories into separate Sovereign entities by releasing us from the Monarchy. This makes the “country” of Canada into a legal myth. PM Bennett (1930-1935, Conservative) failed to make Canadians aware of this material change. The federal government, which became null & void at that date because they are the rep of the Monarchy, then slid in and usurped the position of “Crown” and has been playing this pantomime since. The federal government has no legal right to govern us and everything they have done since is illegal. This is the singular biggest fraud in our history.

We are already free and have been for 94 yrs.

This is why the Canadian Chart of Rights and Freedoms Etc. was never ratified into law, Quebec and Rene Lévesque knew this information and refused to sign the document back in the day.

For those having issue with Trump and his 51st State, I would think that he is WELL aware of our legal status (keeping in mind the immense legal resources the US government has at its fingertips and awareness of international politics). We could choose per Province or Territory to take him up on the offer and the federal government has absolutely no say as they are not a legal entity (even if they have acted as such for far too long).

At this stage of discussion I’m neither for nor against secession. The issue no one is talking about is Health Care. How would that look under an independent West?

I will be happy to see all the Federal institutions start leaving Alberta and coming to BC. Thanks Danielle for your short sightedness. Your whining will result in a gain for BC. She is creating uncertainty in Alberta so investors will also come to BC another gain for our Province. Who would want to invest in some unknow entity that may become part of Trump's chaos.

Lol, as far as your federal institutions, you can have them. Alberta isn't a chaotic, unknown entity. It's the the backbone of this country. You seem to forget that without Alberta, your province, as well as Quebec and Ontario will have to figure out how to replace the equalization payments you recieve from Albertans. Imagine, when Alberta decides to turn off the pipelines heading in your direction if you don't give them access to tide water. I wonder, would the US sell it to you as cheaply as your EX-fellow Canadians used to, after we send your share southward? While your province continues to descend into a lawless stupor, will businesses want to stay in a province where they can be stabbed by someone while going to work or shopping. I think they would rather deal in a country with a government that will actually work with them to achieve success rather than put up as many roadblocks as possible to prevent you from existing. But that's just my opinion and I'm not even in the west. I know if they seek independence, I certainly will go back. Alberta needs to seek sovereignty. Once they have a sovereign nation, whether it's without or within Canada, they'll no longer be reliant on Ottawa for Healthcare transfers, pensions, even the GST(bet most of you don't realize that Quebec collects the GST, they aren't effected by increases to the federal carbon taxes either). I live in Quebec, it boils my blood everytime I drive past Quebec City and the signs across the TransCanada Highway, you know, the one paid for by federal taxes, states "WELCOME TO YOUR NATION'S CAPITAL". Im not talking when you get to Ottawa but instead, when you drive past Quebec City. I'm rambling, I'm looking forward to moving back to Alberta, would never have left if I wasn't looking after my parents. Enough rambling for one day, enjoy the rest of your day folks.

Ummm, by the way, if you think joining Trump, which I'm not for, is a step down from this bureaucratic, woke ideological, climate alarmist nightmare, I suggest you get off the crack pipe, or is it fentanil? Seems to be your government's mode of apparatus: keep them high as a kite and they'll keep voting them back in. Sorry if this offends you but in this country, you can't even say hello without someone being offended so it is pretty much useless to even bother trying not to.
