Aha, that is the reason why the Feds want to remove the not withstanding clause. To stop opposition to their vanity legislation.

I appreciate that Smith will not allow the Feds to erase women or reduce female to nothing more than a costume.

Appropriate use of a controversial clause to stop the proliferation of delusion by law. Well done Ms. Smith

Canada is really turning into a circus. Carney is using his justice minister, Sean Fraser – you know the guy who screwed up his housing and immigration files, as his stooge to contest Section 33 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the notwithstanding clause in regard to Quebec’s secularism legislation (Bill 21) at the Supreme Court.

How important is Section 32 —the notwithstanding clause? There would be no Constitution Act 1982— no Charter of Rights and Freedoms without Section 32.

If Carney’s legal maneuvers in the Supreme Court of Canada get traction, you have to know that this country will be thrown into a constitutional crisis with Premiers Smith, Moe and Legault in lock step.

Fraser our justice minister doesn’t even know that he is being played by Carney – this Carney plan to get rid of Provincial rights is legally flawed.

If Alberta were to separate, the Feds, along with the canadian constituion and the Supreme Court of Canada, would have no jurisdiction within the province of Alberta. Alberta is akin to an abused wife; how long will she remain married to the abuser? A divorce is decades over due.

I believe that people in Alberta who don't want or are scared to separate are thinking this is the Canada they knew a decade ago. The divorce should have been in the '80's.

It must be nice to have a Premier that has common sense and courage to stand against woke ideology and do what’s right. I hope Ontario follows suit.

While I support the use of the "Not Withstanding" clause, the person who leaked this should be fired at the very least.

What are you talking about? This is about the "Not Withstanding" Clause. It has nothing to do with medical. I guess we have to make allowances for an occasional illiterate who stumbles in.

Yes I would like to see Canada break up ... The federal government is totally working against the people of Canada and I cannot see any use for them at all ... David Eby in BC is a myopic dishonest piece of shit too in my opinion ... Nobody thinks it's OK to kill all the ostriches , not to mention the chickens and water buffalo but they are going ahead anyway . People need to stand up against this garbage and that will have more chance of happening without a federal top down system and a partisan corrupt and dishonest media throttling the truth about everything ... I hope Charlie Kirks death will not be for nothing

Alberta staying in Canada is like paying exorbitant CONTRY CLUB fees to a Country Club that will never let you in the door. Of course the benefit is you can tell everyone you DO BELONG to the COUNTRY CLUB! You get to keep paying the fees for the privilege of belonging, but you never get to enjoy the benefits of belonging.
