On Friday, the infamous Liberal porch pirate, George Chahal, accidentally revealed that the investigation into his possible criminal activity extends to his whole campaign team.

“I’ve fully cooperated and provided all the information that was requested of myself and my team,” George Chahal said in an early morning interview to a Calgary radio station.

The admission raises questions about how many homes election material was stolen from by the Liberal backbencher and if his large volunteer team was also involved. Further, it remains unclear if the misdirection of the targetted voters was intentional or a result of general incompetence.

Chahal’s victims were left wondering if they will ever receive justice after the investigation was transferred from local police to federal officials.

Federal investigators have been tight-lipped on the scandal, which could see George Chahal put behind bars for up to six months.

While the mainstream media has all but forgiven recently elected Liberal porch pirate George Chahal, Conservatives in parliament haven’t forgotten.

“During the election, the member from Calgary Skyview was caught on a doorbell camera and has been accused of not just removing campaign literature from Conservative candidate Jag Sahota but replacing it with his own piece that provided wrong information about a polling location,” CPC MP John Brassard told Parliament on November 24.

“The member is facing a $5,000 fine and up to six months in jail during an investigation that is continuing from the Commissioner of Canada Elections,” he continues.

“Even with the low bar on ethics and conduct set by the Liberals and, indeed, the Prime Minister over the last six years, does the Prime Minister think that this type of action from a member of his caucus is acceptable?”
